Rotary and Oracle Volunteers at Lakkasandra - 1

Its been a while since i blogged and i'm back on blog to update on the social activities that are happening at Lakkasandra on our venture to provide education to villagers and enhance their standard of living by providing stage to uplift their economic condition through job opportunities.

In my earlier blog, i had mentioned about the divinity of the village Lakkasandra and about spiritual guru Shri Rayaru.,

Shri Rayaru's vision is to provide education to surrounding villagers irrespective of caste, creed, religion and socio-economic-cultural background. To set to his vision to reality, a school named Shri Raghavendra Vidyaniketana was started in 2001 to bring the children to school and educate them.
In 2004, the school was registered as non-profitable organization and entitled under Shri Guru Raghavendra Charitable Trust.

Our effort in bringing children to school is providing great results and the number of children joining the school is increasing magnanimously.

This has necessitated to reach out the external donors to provide the essential amenities and bear the operational cost. We are reaching out various corporates and individual donors to join our hands on our social endeavor.

With lot of activities happening here, this blog will be updated frequently here afterward..

To start with, this blog focus' on the activities that happened today - on 17th July.

Oracle volunteers donated school uniforms to our school children. We thank Mr Hariharan Sreenivasan, Mrs Olive and team from Oracle to their esteemed visit to the school and donating new uniforms.

Along with Oracle team, Rotary donated 20 desks to High-school students of our institution. Earlier children used to sit on floor or broken desks.. Thanks to Ms Deepika and team of Rotary - Bangalore west for their help..

This activity provided immense happiness to hundreds of school children and villagers..
Again thanks to Oracle Volunteers club, Rotary club and looking forward for further collaboration with us..

Few snaps of today's activity are available at.
